MINUTES OF A MEETING OF CHADDESLEY CORBETT PARISH COUNCIL
PLANNING COMMITTEE
Held on Monday 7 February 2005
at the Chaddesley Corbett Village Hall

Present: Chairman, Cllrs Mr J Swift, Mr C Dodge, Mrs S Holding, Mr C Rowberry, Mr D Spencer, Mr H Grove, Mrs P Pardoe, Mr R Higgins.

1. APOLOGIES: Cllrs Mrs V Adams (ill), Mr J Millington (ill), Mr M Gibbs, Mr S Clee (County Councillor)
2. MINUTES OF MEETING held on 10 January 2005 were approved and signed.
3. REPORT ON ITEMS RAISED AT PREVIOUS MEETINGS: None

5 ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION/DECISION:
5.1 Worcestershire Community Involvement Planning – Consultation: The questionnaire was passed to the Chairman for completion.
6. CORRESPONDENCE/OTHER INFORMATION RECEIVED:
6.1 Wyre Forest District Council – Supplementary Planning Guidance SPG – Design Quality
6.2 Kimberley Cottage, Worcester Road, Harvington – Appeal against planning application – Dismissed.
6.3 Alms House, Worcester Road, Harvington – Erection of first floor extension over ground floor swimming pool – Appeal lodged.
6.4 Harkaway House, Chaddesley Corbett – The Parish Council had questioned whether a planning application was required for a satellite dish in a Conservation Area. Wyre  Forest District Council Enforcement advised that permission was not required for a satellite dish to be erected on an unlisted property, subject to certain criteria. The dish on Harkaway House met criteria but was slightly higher than the ridge of the roof. Wyre Forest Community Housing have undertaken to lower the dish slightly to meet the criteria and planning permission was not therefore required.
6.5 An newspaper article was tabled which stated that a Barrister had successfully sued another Parish Council for £260 for loss of use of a swimming pool facility for 13 days as a result of their comments on a Planning Application. The clerk was asked to investigate the legal aspects of this through CALC.
7. PREVIOUS PLANNING APPLICATIONS APPROVED/REJECTED:
7.1 Lodgecote, Brockencote – Single storey side extension: Refused.
7.2 The Cottage, Tea Room: - Approved.
7.3 Land adjacent Oakfield Farmhouse, Cakebole: - Conversion of barn into a three bedroomed house and new access – Approved. Including Listed Building Consent.
8. PLANNING APPLICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION
8.1 The Pound Barn, Bluntington – Dormer Window – No objections.
8.2 Red House Farm, Harvington – Erection of Farm Building to be used for cattle, sheep and general purpose agricultural storage No objections subject to an adequate waste management plan, due to the building’s close proximity to a pond and watercourse, and a landscaping/screening plan.
8.3 Picklewell House, Brockencote – Erection of extension comprising linked enclosed swimming pool with ancilliary facilities: No objections.
8.4 Sherwood Cottage – Erection of glazed rear porch – No objections subject to privacy of adjoining properties and application of the 45o rule.
